Criminal Defense
Juvenile Law
In Utah, anyone under the age of 18 may be charged with committing a crime in Utah’s juvenile courts. Even though these are criminal offenses, they are considered civil and their purpose if to rehabilitate the young offenders rather than punish them.
Juvenile courts differ from adult courts, which can be confusing. It is the only section of our criminal justice system that is dedicated to rehabilitation rather punishment, and I’d like to keep it that way. An attorney who knows about the system is necessary to protect your child’s interests and ensure a fair trial.
